       Feedback from Muslimah Gems 02/04/2010

I went to the Muslimah Gems Course and I have to say it was excellent! It was such a needy topic, one that we as Muslim women lack immensely. The reason for our decline in recent times is due to our lack of knowledge, like ustadha said.We need to revive the lives of our pious predecessors! The way the ustadha delivered the course was such that we never got bored. I felt the inclination to learn more about such heroic women of the past and the motivation to emulate them. Islam has so much to be proud of, it’s amazing! We just need to take the time to learn about our true heritage.
Like A’ishah (May Allah be pleased with her) she was so intellectual and an expert in so many fields, at such a young age, subhanallah! I truly aspire to be like her. The course was a great reminder, and an eye opener to all the great women of Islam. Ustadha gave us insight into the lives of sahabiyyat, some of which I had never come across before. What’s more, we even got our very own course notes written by the ustadha herself, summarising all the topics covered throughout the course, which I must say look very professional indeed. I’m impressed!

May Allah reward her for all her efforts and all those who helped put it together, Ameen!I was shocked at the amount of people who attended masha’Allah, over one hundred so I heard. There were sisters who had travelled from far and wide originating from all over, from Asia, to Africa, to Europe. It was such a warm feeling being amongst so many friendly sisters who shared the same aims and objectives in relation to the course, and being in the presence of such an inspirational young female scholar masha’Allah

I also attended the previous courses instructed by the same ustadha, which were ‘The Ideal Muslimah’, ‘Min Adab-il Islam’ and ‘Path to Paradise’ and masha’Allah they were all fantastic. The Initial course ‘The Ideal Muslimah’ was a great success, I’m sure all those who attended would agree. I met sisters from all over the world there, subhanallah the environment was so joyful throughout the week. The other courses followed with a similar turn out and definitely exceeded the standards I had expected. I can’t even decide which one has been the best! So far all the topics covered in the courses have been relevant and very beneficial and there hasn’t been a day where I haven’t come back with a new mind set.
I would recommend all to look out for such courses in the future and take the opportunity to attend, I know I definitely will! It’s for a good cause as well so you’ve got nothing to lose!
